• Contact information you provide directly, such as your name, phone number, and email address when you join our waitlist or create an account.
• Location information when you use our app to book or take a ride, including pickup and drop-off locations.
• Payment information processed securely by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
• Device and usage information, including device identifiers, app version, and interaction data, used to improve the Services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve the Services; verify your identity; communicate with you about your account, rides, and waitlist status; process payments; ensure safety; and comply with legal obligations.

3. SMS Messaging

By providing your phone number to Vero, you consent to receive SMS messages from Vero, including one-time passwords, waitlist status updates, account activation notifications, and other account-related notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact team@ridevero.app.

We do not share mobile opt-in consent or phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in consent is not shared with third parties.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as necessary to provide the Services, including with:

• Service providers that help us operate the Services (e.g., Supabase for backend hosting, Clerk for authentication, Mapbox for mapping, Stripe for payments, Telnyx for SMS).
• Drivers, to coordinate your ride (limited to pickup, drop-off, and contact details necessary to complete the ride).
• Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of riders, drivers, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting team@ridevero.app.

6. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. Contact team@ridevero.app to exercise these rights.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
